Welcome to the Nsatellite app! The app makes using your access control device easy. However, before you start using it, please familiarise yourself with some basic information that will ensure a long and trouble-free use of your device. All functions, with the exception of adding fingerprints, are also accessible remotely.

The app is protected by your phone’s security system (fingerprint, facial recognition, PIN, etc.). Each time the app is launched, the user must authenticate, which prevents abuse. ATTENTION! If your phone is not protected, access to the app is also not protected and you risk the possibility of abuse.

PLACING YOUR FINGER ON THE SENSOR PROPERLY (for fingerprint readers)

  1. THE FINGERPRINT MUST COVER AT LEAST 70% OF THE SENSOR SURFACE

Users with smaller fingerprints, especially women and children, may need to press their finger harder on the sensor to achieve sufficient coverage (the finger spreads when more pressure is applied).

  1. PLACE THE FINGER IN THE CENTRE OF THE SENSOR WITH THE PART OF THE FINGER WHERE THE FINGERPRINT IS MOST PRONOUNCED

For most users, this is approximately in the middle of the finger pad, where the curves of the fingerprint form the centre. Take a look at your fingerprints and their characteristics.

  1. CHOOSE GOOD QUALITY FINGERPRINTS

Have a look at your fingers and enter those that are undamaged and have a good visible fingerprint structure.

  1. THE MOST COMMON CAUSE OF POOR READINGS IS DRY SKIN

If you have to press down harder than usual on the sensor to get a reading, the most likely cause is too dry skin on the finger. This is particularly noticeable during the winter months. Make sure that the skin is normally hydrated by using hand cream, moisturising wipes or by lightly touching the moist surface, but make sure that the finger does not get wet.

  1. DO NOT MOVE THE FINGER DURING THE READING

Wait for the device to beep to confirm successful entry before moving the finger.

  1. ENTER MORE THAN ONE FINGER OF EACH HAND TO AVOID PROBLEMS CAUSED BY DAMAGED OR DIRTY FINGERS.

In case of poor fingerprint quality (due to damaged or dry skin), enter the same fingerprint several times. This will ensure a good reading regardless of the position of the finger on the sensor and will protect you in case you damage one of the fingers you have entered.

MAINTENANCE

Although our devices do not require any special maintenance, we need to keep the device clean.

Fingerprint reader: If the fingerprint reader is used with oily or dirty fingers, dirt will start to accumulate on the sensor and it should be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth (dish detergent can be used). Dirt on the sensor can cause malfunctioning.

Keypad: In case the keypad needs to be cleaned, use a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD AGGRESSIVE CLEANERS (INCLUDING GLASS CLEANERS), POLISHING PASTES OR ACIDS BE USED FOR CLEANING! CLEANING OR RUBBING THE SENSOR/KEYPAD SURFACE WITH HARD AND SHARP OBJECTS MAY CAUSE SENSOR FAILURE AND DEVICE MALFUNCTION, RESULTING IN LOSS OF WARRANTY.

RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS

There are two ways to restore the factory settings:

  1. Hold down the R key on the control unit for 10 seconds until the blue LED starts flashing. The key can be accessed with a thin tool of approx. 1 mm diameter.
  2. In the application, open the ABOUT tab and click on FACTORY RESET.

All fingerprints and codes will be erased. The phone connections will also be deleted.

TEST FUNCTION

AFTER EACH FACTORY RESET, THE DEVICE IS IN TEST FUNCTION FOR 1 MINUTE. The light signals flash green.

The test function is interrupted by a power interruption or the start of fingerprinting.

After the test function time has elapsed, the device remains at factory settings and is ready for use.

FIRST CONNECTION

  1. Restore the device
  2. In the Nsatellite app, enter your email and set a username – this name will already be in the user list!
